A non-surgical brow lift with Botox is one of the most rewarding "small change, big result" treatments we offer at our Downers Grove clinic. The right placement can lift the tail of the brow 1–3 mm and open the eyes noticeably — no surgery, no downtime.
How It Works
Your brow position is a constant tug-of-war between muscles that pull it up (the frontalis) and muscles that pull it down (the orbicularis oculi, procerus, corrugator, and depressor supercilii). By strategically relaxing the depressor muscles, the natural lifters win — and the brow rises.
Where We Inject
- Glabella ("11s"): 20–25 units to relax the muscles that pull the inner brow down
- Lateral orbicularis (crow's feet area): 2–4 units per side to release the tail of the brow
- Strategic forehead dosing: light units in the lower forehead while sparing the outer frontalis so the brow tail stays lifted
What It Won't Do
A Botox brow lift won't lift a heavily hooded upper eyelid caused by excess skin. For significant hooding, a surgical blepharoplasty is the right tool, and we'll tell you that honestly at your consultation.
Results Timeline
- Day 3–5: First lift becomes visible
- Day 10–14: Full result; eyes look more rested and "open"
- Duration: 3–4 months
Who Is a Good Candidate?
- Heavy or low-sitting brows that make you look tired
- An asymmetric brow position (Botox can balance the two sides)
- Anyone who's been pulling their forehead up unconsciously to "see better"
- Patients not yet ready for surgical options
What It Costs
A targeted Botox brow lift uses roughly 25–40 units, putting most treatments in the $300–$700 range in the Downers Grove market. See our Botox cost guide for details.
Why Injector Skill Matters Here
Forehead dosing for a brow lift is one of the most technique-dependent areas of facial Botox. Over-treating the lower forehead can drop the brow. This is exactly why unit count alone is meaningless — placement is everything.
